The Uralvagonzavod concern (part of Rostec) continues to actively re-equip technically, since 2022 the company has put into operation about 500 units of new equipment for the manufacture of special equipment, rolling stock and other civilian products.
The latest welding, lifting, forging and pressing equipment, modern universal machines and processing centers have been introduced in various divisions of the Nizhny Tagil enterprise of the concern.
A large proportion is special equipment, which, as a rule, is made according to the drawings of UVZ designers. These unique stands, fixtures and tooling help optimize various technological processes.
One of the most indicative in terms of technical re-equipment was the thermal workshop. The introduction of new equipment took place here without stopping production. In total, 11 thermal furnaces were replaced in the workshops. They consist entirely of domestic components, from refractory materials and burners, to computer control.
The Uralvagonzavod concern is one of the world leaders in the segment of armored vehicles, the only developer and manufacturer of armored weapons and equipment in Russia, the creator of the latest T-90M "Proryv" tank.
