Russia has updated its proposal for the supply of light multi-purpose Ka-226T helicopters to India. This was announced by Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.
According to him, the rotorcraft is equipped with the latest domestic VK-650V engine, which significantly improves the characteristics of the helicopter. The international air show Aero India 2025 is currently taking place in India, where the Ka-226T engine is being demonstrated for the first time.
The Indian side has been given an updated technical proposal for the light multi-purpose Ka-226T helicopter. The newest Russian VK-650V engine is proposed for its equipment.
Mikheev added that these helicopters were previously equipped with Arrius 2G1 engines of French production.
