The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of the Rostec State Corporation) at the NAIS 2025 civil aviation infrastructure forum in Moscow showed the latest PD-8 engine for the SJ-100 aircraft. Detailed shots of the power plant in various angles have appeared on the Web detailed shots.

The dual-circuit turbofan engine was developed by specialists from UEC-Saturn using advanced technologies and the latest domestic materials, including 3D printing.

In the development of the power plant, engineers used the experience of creating a more powerful PD-14 engine. To speed up certification, the results of computer modeling were used for the PD-8.

The PD-8 will be used on the import-substituted SSJ-NEW passenger aircraft and on the Be-200 amphibious aircraft.
