The Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to reduce the number of aircraft engines for the promising MC-21, SSJ-100 and Tu-214 aircraft, which will be produced in Russia until 2026. Thus, instead of the planned 192 engines, aircraft manufacturers will receive only 128 power plants.
Production plans until 2026 have been reduced by 1.5 times. In 2025, Russia will assemble 24 engines (11 PS-90, seven PD-14 and six PD-8), and in 2026 — 104 engines (32 PS-90, 28 PD-14 and 44 PD-8).
The press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that the changes are aimed at synchronizing plans with the provisions of the civil aviation industry development program (KPGA) until 2030.
