Земля в иллюминаторе видна: с МКС запустили круглосуточную 4К-трансляцию нашей планеты

Sen shows the Earth as seen by astronauts from the International Space Station

British company Sen has launched a 24/7 video broadcast from the International Space Station (ISS). The video can be viewed on YouTube.

The cameras were delivered to the ISS in 2024 on the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft as part of the CRS-30 mission. The broadcast involves three devices installed on the European Space Agency's Bartolomeo platform.

One captures a wide horizon of the Earth, the second shows a more detailed area of about 240×180 km, and the third is aimed at the station's docking node.

The broadcast is interrupted periodically, but quickly recovers. When a specific area of the Earth is shown, captions appear on the screen explaining what the object is. The broadcast can be viewed in various resolutions, with the maximum being 4K.

The Bartolomeo module is designed for scientific and commercial experiments, as well as for observing the Earth and space. It allows research to be carried out under microgravity conditions and uses solar energy, providing access to the outside of the ISS.

Sen specializes in the development and implementation of technologies in the field of space research and observation. It focuses on creating solutions for collecting and transmitting data from space objects, including satellites and the ISS.
