A new autonomous positioning system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been developed for the Russian military. It will be tested in combat conditions in March.
The "KPB Polet" emphasized that the technology they are developing is completely autonomous and does not depend on GPS and GLONASS satellite systems, and also features high positioning accuracy even in difficult conditions.
Active tests are underway, we are working on the navigation system. We have to invent our own communication and navigation system, we are inventing from scratch. I think this work will be completed in February and the technology will be tested in March.
The company's development minimizes the risks of disabling external navigation systems and "takes domestic drones to a new level of independence."
