Engineers at the Vympel Design Bureau have developed a concept for a new generation pusher tug (Project 00443). The auxiliary vessel will replace ОТ-2400 and ОТ-2000 type pushers manufactured by Ganz Danubius Budapest. This was reported by the press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).

The river technical fleet in Russia needs to be updated. Currently, about 140 Hungarian-built pushers are operated on the country's rivers, with ages ranging from 35 to 56 years.

Compared to pusher tugs of older designs, the new vessel has higher automation and a smaller crew. Unlike older vessels of this class, the new tug is environmentally friendly.
