Servicemen of the motorized rifle unit of the Eastern Military District (EMD) practiced extreme driving techniques on BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles. The exercises took place at the combined arms training ground "Yekaterinoslavsky" in the Amur Region.
During the exercises, the servicemen overcame a track with artificial and natural obstacles at an average speed of more than 30 km/h. Such exercises require the coordination of crews, train the skill and reaction of driver-mechanics.
Also, as part of the training, the soldiers completed standards for technical training, checking the level of technical fluid, installing a battery, installing night vision devices, and placing equipment on a railway platform.
BMP-2 is a Soviet and Russian infantry fighting vehicle. It is designed to transport personnel of units, provide fire support, destroy manpower, tanks and lightly armored vehicles of the enemy.
The main armament of the BMP-2 is a 30-mm 2A42 automatic cannon mounted in a two-seat rotating turret. A 7.62-mm PKT machine gun is paired with the cannon. A 9P135M launcher is located on the roof of the turret between the hatches of the gunner and commander.
