In 2024, 112,000 new light commercial vehicles (LCV) were sold in Russia, which is 24.4% higher than in 2023. Domestic manufacturers remained the drivers in the market, with their total contribution to the overall sales volume exceeding 80%.
The domestic brand GAZ leads the light commercial vehicle segment in Russia, accounting for almost 54% of total sales in 2024. In quantitative terms, this is 60,300 units.
Three more Russian brands followed in second, third, and fourth places: UAZ (17,500 units), Lada (12,000 units), and Sollers (10,200 units). The Chinese brand Dongfeng (2,300 units) closes the top five with a significant gap from the leaders.
It should be noted that experts from the Avtostat agency offered their own segmentation. For example, some pickup models are classified as passenger cars rather than light commercial vehicles.
As a reminder, in December, GAZ presented theall-wheel drive "Gazelle 4x4 NN". As it turned out, a "B" category license is still sufficient for it. This car is equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel engine that can produce 149 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission is also worth noting. The "Gazelle 4x4 NN" differs from the "Sobol 4x4 NN" with a wider wheelbase, which has been increased by 14 centimeters, and the rear overhang of the body has become half a meter longer.
