Footage of the combat use of the latest guided artillery projectile 3OF95 "Krasnopol-M2" has gone viral on the Web. The ammunition hit a PzH-2000 self-propelled artillery unit (SPG).
Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that the "Krasnopol-M2" was used from a 2A36 rifled gun with a length of 47 calibers. These are installed on the "Hyacinth-B" howitzer, the "Hyacinth-S" self-propelled gun and the 2S43M "Malva". The firing range of the "Krasnopol-M2" from the above guns is from 35 to 40 km.
In counter-battery duels, the Russian Armed Forces still desperately need long-barreled 2A88/L52 guns capable of using the updated "Krasnopol-M2" at more than 55 km.
