Specialists from the Kalashnikov concern have refined the перспективную remotely controlled, wire-guided launcher for the Konkurs-M ATGM, designed by enthusiast engineers from the Russian Armed Forces, to a state of operational readiness. Footage of the system has appeared online.
The new system features remotely controlled, wire-guided electromechanical drives for azimuth and elevation control of the transport and launch container (TLC) with a 9Sh119M1 optoelectronic sight and an additional thermal imaging sighting system with a night-time range of approximately 2-2.5 km.
Video from the sighting modules is displayed on the indicator of a remote computerized ATGM operator terminal, protecting the crew from direct fire from the enemy.
In addition to high noise immunity, the wire channel cannot be detected by interferometric sensors of radio and electronic intelligence.
Preparing the Konkurs-M for combat operation takes no more than 20 minutes. With this development, the operator can alternately control up to three Konkurs-M launchers while being 100 meters away from the weapon.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the KamAZ-43269 Vystrel universal military armored vehicle has been modernized for modern combat conditions, receiving electronic warfare systems and drone protection.
