Welding and painting of the bodies of the new Russian "Atom" electric vehicles has begun at the "Moskvich" automobile plant in the capital, according to insiders.
The process is currently in the test run stage for the bodies, which started in mid-November. At this stage, the plant is debugging technical processes, checking the geometry of the bodies for compliance with reference parameters in laboratory conditions.
Production work is underway on the same line where the "Moskvich 3" crossovers are produced, but full assembly of finished cars has not yet begun. Mass production of "Atom" electric vehicles is scheduled for 2025.
