Что за ПАК ДА? Раскрыты характеристики новейшего стратегического самолета-ракетоносца для ВКС России

It will be made in a "flying wing" configuration

Engineers at the Tupolev Design Bureau are developing the newest aircraft for Russian strategic aviation. It received the working title PAK DA — prospective aviation complex for long-range aviation. At the moment, the project is shrouded in secrecy, but some details about it have still leaked into the public domain.

The aviation complex will have a "flying wing" aerodynamic configuration and will be subsonic. This choice is due to the technical requirements for the aircraft — the "flying wing" has even more internal space for payload. Moreover, with the placement of weapons in internal compartments and at subsonic speed, optimal flight range indicators are achieved.

The use of missile weapons is предполагается without entering the air defense zone of a potential enemy. It is likely that such aircraft will spend a long time in waiting areas — over the desert regions of the Far North or the World Ocean.

The PAK DA will have a reduced radar signature. The main armament is перспективные hypersonic and subsonic cruise missiles. The payload mass of the PAK DA is up to 30 tons. This means that the bomber will be able to carry at least 12 cruise missiles in its weapons bays. The total take-off weight of the aircraft, according to экспертам, may be 145 tons.

Of course, the newest aircraft will be equipped with the most advanced complex of radio equipment and a defense system that will allow it to jam any guidance systems. During the 2030s, the PAK DA should become the main aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces' long-range aviation.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Arkhangelsk nuclear submarine with hypersonic Kalibrs and Onyx missiles will join the Navy in December.
