The "Polyus" enterprise from Tatarstan will begin mass production of a new oil filter with a heat exchanger for KAMAZ R6 engines. The development was created between 2022 and 2024 at the Engineering Center of the Ural Federal University to replace foreign counterparts.
Specialists analyzed the materials of a foreign oil filter and selected their optimal replacements. During the work, a detailed scan of all elements of the device was performed to create digital models.
Prototypes of the new filter have successfully passed tests, confirming their reliability as part of the KAMAZ R6 engine. The documentation was accepted by the customer in June 2024. It was transferred to the manufacturer — the "Polyus" company.
An oil filter with a heat exchanger is a critical component for trucks. It cleans engine oil from particles generated during the wear of engine parts and fuel combustion, and also provides its cooling.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that "Roselectronics" for the first time showed new optical infrared filters "Ametists-IK".
