In November 2024, the Russian market for new passenger cars was split in half between cars produced domestically and those imported from abroad.
According to information from "Автостат", 36% of total sales were cars of Russian brands, such as Lada, UAZ, "Москвич", Evolute, Xcute, Aurus, Solaris, "Соллерс" and "Амберавто". Another 14% were foreign cars assembled in Russia, including Haval, BAIC, Kaiyi, SWM and Forthing.
The remaining 50% of cars were imported into Russia, of which 41% came through official import channels, and 9% through parallel imports. The majority of imported cars came from China.
