Following Nuclear Weapons: Putin Announces Deployment of "Oreshnik" in Belarus

The complex may be deployed in the republic in the second half of 2025

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Belarus will have the "Oreshnik" complex of hypersonic Russian medium-range missiles. He said this after the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State in Minsk.

According to him, serial production of "Oreshnik" will be налажен by mid-2025.

At a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Putin signed an interstate Treaty on Security Guarantees within the Union State.

It is worth recalling that by the beginning of the summer of 2024, Belarusian military personnel had completed a training cycle on the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons, which Russia had deployed on the territory of the republic.
