Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Belarus will have the Oreshnik hypersonic Russian medium-range missile system. He said this after the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State in Minsk.
According to him, mass production of "Oreshnik" will be налажен by mid-2025.
By this time, according to our preliminary estimates, we will налажен mass production. These complexes will enter service with the Russian Strategic Missile Forces. And in parallel, we will begin deploying them on the territory of Belarus.
At a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Putin signed an interstate Treaty on Security Guarantees within the Union State.
It is worth recalling that by the beginning of the summer of 2024, the Belarusian military had completed a training cycle on the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons, which Russia had deployed on the territory of the republic.
