A historical Mercedes-Benz 230 series W142, which starred in the cult film "17 Moments of Spring", has been put up for sale in Russia. The car is priced at 20 million rubles.
In the original book by Yulian Semenov, Standartenfuhrer Stirlitz had a Horch. However, it was impossible to find a suitable model for filming in the 1970s due to the shortage of this brand in Moscow. The owners of Horch 853 did not agree to a long-term lease, so a Mercedes appeared on the screen.
It is worth noting that three cars of the 230 model were used in the film, including the one that is currently for sale. This 1938 sedan is equipped with a six-cylinder M 142 gasoline engine with a volume of 3.2 liters. The maximum speed of the car is 130 km/h thanks to the power of 78 hp.
There are not so many similar cars on the Russian market, so it is not easy to estimate their cost. In Germany, prices for roadsters of a similar series range from 114 to 295 thousand euros, while versions with closed bodies are cheaper.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a ZIS-110 was put up for sale in Moscow.
