The power of Putin's newest Oreshnik missile revealed: compared to "45 Hiroshimas"

"Объясняем.рф": The power of Oreshnik is 900 kilotons, or "45 Hiroshimas"

In its nuclear version, the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic hypersonic missile can deliver warheads with a capacity of 900 kilotons. This was reported by the state portal «Объясняем.рф».

The authors of the publication noted that in its nuclear version, Oreshnik can deliver warheads with a capacity of 900 kilotons, or "45 Hiroshimas." The Little Boy bomb dropped by the United States on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, was equivalent to 13-18 kilotons of TNT.

The material emphasizes that the Oreshnik missile cannot be shot down. This can only be done at an early stage of the flight, before it has reached maximum speed. Therefore, the projectile is launched from the Kapustin Yar training ground, from deep within the country. The range of Oreshnik is 5500 km.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the US admitted the helplessness of the THAAD and Aegis systems against Russian hypersonic missiles.
