The Russian Mi-28NM reconnaissance helicopter has become even faster due to a change in the rotor design. This was reported by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

He noted that the newest main rotor with saber-shaped blade tips increases the maximum speed of the machine to 332-335 km/h. The new blades reduce the negative aerodynamic effects that occur in helicopters of the classical design at high speeds.

The Russian army aviation has been receiving Mi-28NM helicopters modernized taking into account the experience of the operation in Syria since 2019.

The "Nikolai Mikhailovich", as the rotary-wing machine is unofficially called by pilots, received a new engine, avionics with the ability to interact with drones, and a modern sighting and search system.
