Expert Urges Upgrading Geran-2 and Gerbera UAVs with Inertial Navigation Modules: GPS Coordinate Spoofing Interferes with Them

Modern Digital Computers with AI Should Process the Information

The enemy has begun to counter the operation of the Geran-2 and Gerbera strike drones by spoofing GPS coordinates. To mitigate this, the military equipment needs to be equipped with new technologies, noted military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

According to him, the method is called "spoofing" — intercepting satellite coordinates.

In order to mitigate this technique, it is necessary to develop modern inertial navigation modules for the Geran and Gerbera. They need to be synchronized with optoelectronic correlation modules that compare landscape elements on a low-altitude route with pre-loaded reference digital data. Modern digital computers with AI are capable of processing this information.
