The cost of the S-70 "Okhotnik" strike drone is about $15 million, which corresponds to the price of an old American F-16 fighter without weapons. This is according to Bulgarian Military.
A total of four prototypes were produced. The S-70 "Okhotnik" uses components from Western companies, including Analog Devices, Texas Instruments and Xilinx-AMD, Infineon Technologies, ST Microelectronics.
According to Bulgarian Military, the cost of the S-70 "Okhotnik" is 75 times higher than the price of the Iranian Shahed drone.
At the same time, the cost of the S-70 "Okhotnik" is only 15% higher than the price of the Russian Kh-101 cruise missile ($13 million).
Journalists drew attention to the technical characteristics of the strike drone. The S-70 "Okhotnik" is equipped with two internal weapons bays, which can accommodate missiles used for the Su-57 fighter.
It is expected that mass production and deliveries of UAVs will begin in the near future. The S-70 "Okhotnik" will play a key role in the modernization of the Russian Air Force.
