Фиолетовый картофель в подарок: белорусские ученые поздравили Татьяну Ким с днем рождения

The new variety was named after the marketplace

The Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Potato and Vegetable Growing has presented and registered a new potato variety called "wildberries."

Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim shared this news on her Telegram channel, noting that she received such an original gift from Belarusian scientists on her birthday. Kim expressed delight, talking about the new purple potato variety that was created in Belarus.

According to the certificate, the new variety has a high potential yield, reaching 50 tons per hectare, and is notable for its high starch content — up to 18.9%. The characteristics of the potato also emphasize good taste, and its purpose is a table variety for healthy functional nutrition.

Tatyana Kim promised to consider the possibility of industrial cultivation of "wildberries". However, she did not specify when it would be possible to buy purple potatoes from Belarus through Wildberries.
