A hybrid processor to reduce the frequency of fluctuations in the operation of solar power plants with hydrogen storage facilities has been developed at Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU). This was reported in the press service of the university.
The new hybrid processor is based on a mathematical model. It was proposed to reproduce the switching processes in a step-up DC converter, a power converter and their high-speed control systems.
This approach optimizes the operation of DC circuits in solar power plants with hydrogen energy storage. In addition, this will minimize their negative impact on power grids.
Currently, the results obtained on mathematical models formed the basis of experimental samples of power inverter devices developed at TPU in the interests of industrial partners. These developments are a good example of how fundamental results can be applied in real practice.
Scientists plan to further study the impact of generating plants with inverter connection on transient processes in weak grids.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a new technology was created in Omsk to improve the efficiency of solar power plants.
