The installation of new equipment for manufacturing the cylinder block core assembly in the core section of the iron foundry is nearing completion. It consists of a core machine, peripheral equipment for painting and drying the core assembly, and tooling for producing at least 6,000 core sets per year.
According to KAMAZ PJSC, the new complex is designed for manufacturing cylinder blocks using CTS technology, which involves casting into cold-setting mixtures. This method ensures high casting quality, adherence to precise dimensions, reduced energy consumption, minimized harmful emissions, reduced labor intensity in final casting operations, and overall improved work quality.
After the production preparation is complete, the new casting technology for blocks will be applied in mass production, which will start in October. It will be used in the production of blocks for 8-cylinder engines manufactured by TMZ and blocks for 12-cylinder engines supplied to YaMZ.
