Замена Telegram: в России создали «православный» мессенджер «Зосима»

The application is named after a saint

The release of an "Orthodox" messenger called "Zosima" has been announced in Russia. The project was initiated by the "Innotech XXI" foundation, which is involved in the restoration of churches, and was originally conceived as part of the "Save and Protect" program. However, during the development process, it was decided to make the application available to all users. The messenger will be available for download on all popular mobile platforms.

According to the president of the foundation, Alexey Agapov, the "Save and Protect" program is aimed at restoring churches in the Yaroslavl region. As part of this project, a competition is held where local residents can suggest churches in need of restoration. From these, the foundation will select 5–7 objects for further work. Fundraising and the involvement of specialists and volunteers will then be organized to carry out the restoration work.

The "Zosima" messenger was created to support this project. It was named after an Orthodox saint. Work on the application lasted about a year, and it was conceived as a means of exchanging information about churches. Users will be able to create church pages, discuss their condition, the progress of reconstruction, and donate funds for restoration. The application will be open to everyone.

The launch of the "Zosima" messenger is scheduled for November 2024. The application will be available on major mobile platforms, and some of its functions are already being tested as part of the "Save and Protect" program, which will optimize the application before its official launch.
