The enterprise of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec State Corporation) will build an additional building to expand the production of the fifth-generation multirole fighter Su-57 (project index T-50, NATO codification: Felon). This was reported in the state corporation.
It is noted that the Gagarin Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant, which produces the Su-57, is updating its production facilities. As part of the technical re-equipment projects, construction and installation work has been completed at the new flight test station facilities.
To expand the serial production of the Su-57, the construction of an additional building has begun, where the testing of fifth-generation aircraft systems will take place.
The Su-57 is a fifth-generation multirole fighter developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau. The aircraft is designed to perform various tasks, including attacking ground targets and gaining air superiority.
The Su-57's armament includes a combination of air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. It can carry the high-precision Kh-69 missile, including the R-73 and R-77 for air combat, and the high-precision Kh-59 and Kh-38 munitions for ground targets.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec transferred another batch of Su-57 and Su-35S fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The winged machines have undergone a full cycle of factory tests.
