Russia is purchasing "sensitive" products in India while increasing oil supplies to the friendly country. Presumably, due to Western sanctions, Moscow may move the production of components for military equipment to India, writes Eurasian Times.
Prior to this, the Financial Times published a report stating that supposedly "the Kremlin is considering moving its production facilities to India to ensure the supply of components for its military industry."
According to the British newspaper, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, which is responsible for defense production, planned to spend about 1 billion US dollars in October 2022 on critical electronics.
It is known that Russian banks have "significant reserves" of rupees from the sale of oil to India. India has also been a supplier of critical goods to the country.
The report claims that Russia and its Indian partners have traded dual-use technologies that are under Western sanctions. This includes "telecommunications, server and electronic equipment."
The report mentions the Indian company Innovio Ventures, which allegedly supplied electronics, including drones, to Russia for at least $4.9 million and sent goods worth another $600,000 through Kyrgyzstan.
