Russian soldier shoots down "Baba Yaga" with two shots from a "Kalashnikov", despite being wounded

The heavy drone failed to harm the unit

A Russian soldier with the call sign Student at the front line shot down a Baba Yaga unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with two shots from a Kalashnikov assault rifle. He reported this to @izvestia.

The unit received the task of gaining a foothold on the forest belt. We successfully completed the task. The enemy tried to smoke us out by any means possible, with all the means at his disposal. "Baba Yaga" flew in, dropped something, and I received a shrapnel wound. But I didn't panic, fired two shots and shot it down.

The Kalashnikov concern added that the AK is positioned as the most reliable, efficient, easy to use and trouble-free automatic personal weapon. Currently, it is produced in three calibers – 7.62 mm, 5.45 mm and 5.56 mm.

Today, the plant produces the fifth generation of the assault rifle – the AK-12, which was adopted in 2020. This model differs from previous generations in its well-thought-out ergonomics, adaptation to all-day use, and increased accuracy and grouping of fire.
