The Russian Ministry of Defense has an ideal weapon for destroying enemy drones on the front lines: the Soviet ZSU-57 and Zu-23 anti-aircraft guns, according to military volunteer Alexey Zhivov.
According to him, this equipment is excellent for eliminating any type of short-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
We have a huge number of old Soviet anti-aircraft guns, various "zushkas," gathering dust in the warehouses of the Ministry of Defense. Zu-57, Zu-23, and so on. This is the ideal weapon for destroying any type of short-range drones. Putting them into operation now costs almost nothing.
Earlier, former Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Air Force Issues of the CIS Joint Air Defense System, Lieutenant General of the Reserve Aytech Bizhev, expressed the opinion on the need to rethink the Russian air defense system. According to him, the system needs to switch to automated control.
