The "Oxide" plant in Novosibirsk, part of "Ruselectronics", has successfully delivered the first batch of industrial batteries for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to a Russian telecom operator. These batteries are made using AGM technology and are lead-acid. They are designed to ensure the uninterrupted operation of telecommunications equipment, including automated telephone exchanges, automatic alert systems and servers.
The batteries produced at the "Oxide" plant are comparable in characteristics to foreign analogues that were previously used in this field.
The General Director of the plant, Lev Nosenko, said that within the framework of long-term contracts with key telecom operators, it is planned to supply about 10 thousand batteries by the end of the year. The plant's production line has a capacity of up to 60 thousand batteries per year.
Oxide batteries are able to operate in a wide temperature range and maintain their original capacity even with a prolonged voltage drop. These characteristics guarantee stable operation of telecommunications equipment in various operating conditions.
