Russian military personnel at the forefront are using modernized low-observable Geran-2 kamikaze drones. The drone's GLONASS correction modules have Kometa-M antennas with a narrow directional pattern, shielded in the lower hemisphere.
This solution minimized the interference from the enemy's L-band electronic warfare equipment, noted military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
The UAV is capable of performing low-altitude flight at an echelon of about 45 m even under heavy machine-gun fire from the enemy.
Tactical and Technical Characteristics of the Geran-2 UAV:
- Wingspan — 2.5 meters
- Length — 3.5 meters
- Weight — 200 kilograms
- Flight range — 2000 kilometers
- Speed — 180 kilometers per hour
