Kalashnikov Announces Decision to Modernize 7.62mm Record Rifle

A polymer magazine was developed for it

Russian arms manufacturer Kalashnikov is modernizing the 7.62-millimeter Record rifle. It was developed based on the SV-98 combat sniper rifle.

Also, a polymer magazine was developed for the Record, which is fully compatible with the SVD rifle standard and fits within the dimensions of the Record carbine.

The Record rifle is equipped with a 70 cm long steel rifled barrel. The overall dimensions with such a barrel are 1350x260x130 mm, and the weight reaches 5.5 kg.

The rifle body is made of selected wood, impregnated with a protective compound. The rifle stock is equipped with a cheek piece adjustable in length and a buttstock adjustable to individual needs horizontally and vertically.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian military installed the MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun on a high-speed MT-LB tracked vehicle. Thus, they solved the problem of transporting the gun.
