SSJ-100 рухнул в Подмосковье, предварительная причина катастрофы — отказ двигателя

The IAC will investigate

An SSJ-100 aircraft crashed in the Kolomna district of the Moscow region during a test flight after repairs. After taking off from Zhukovsky Airport, it spent about an hour in the air, after which it crashed to the ground for unknown reasons. The three pilots on board died, there were no other casualties.

According to emergency services, one of the causes of the crash could be engine failure. The IAC will investigate the disaster.

PJSC UAC reported that the crashed aircraft was not part of the import substitution program. It belonged to Gazprom and had been in service for ten years.

The aviation accident occurred with an aircraft operated by an airline, manufactured in 2014. The aircraft was performing a ferry flight to the airport without passengers on board. The developer and manufacturer's specialists will provide all necessary assistance in the investigation of the accident. In turn, the Superjet prototype with import-substituted systems (the so-called NEW modification) is undergoing testing in Zhukovsky. It has just completed a test flight and successfully landed at Ramenskoye airfield.

The non-import-substituted version of the SSJ-100 is equipped with Russian-French SaM146 engines. It is known that after the introduction and strengthening of sanctions, the Russian side learned to import-substitute a number of parts for these engines.

As a replacement for these aircraft in their import-independent version, it was planned to install domestic PD-8 engines.

It is known that investigators are now seizing documentation related to the repair of the aircraft.
