Spetsdormash has published the characteristics of the new heavy version of the SDM-25 grader of the "SHIRE" series. The information appeared on the factory's website.
The manufacturer has increased the operating weight of the motor grader from 23.5 t to 29.0 t. This was achieved by strengthening the frame structure and changing the power elements.
The increased weight provides better traction and increases the machine's stability when performing heavy work. This is especially important when working on loose soils and in quarries, where maximum traction is required.
The grader is equipped with YaMZ-7511 (400 hp) or YaMZ-238ND3 (300 hp) diesel engines. The machine's blade has been increased from 4000 mm to 4600 mm.
The grader is also equipped with an automatic lubrication and fire extinguishing system. The machine's cab is equipped with ROPS / FOPS safety systems. They provide protection in the event of the grader overturning and from falling objects.
