A unique video of cruise missiles flying over the sea surface has gone viral on social networks. The Telegram channel @RussianArms clarified that these are missiles of the Kalibr-NK complex, which at high speed headed towards the target only 17 m above the water.
It is obvious that the missiles were launched from universal vertical launchers of the 3S14 UKSK universal firing complexes, located on small missile ships of the Caspian Flotilla.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not yet commented on the situation. According to Damantsev, the route of the missiles, which lies at an altitude of about 17 m above the "crest" of the wave, is of particular interest in the publication of the video.
An even lower missile flight altitude of 12 - 15 m can be achieved in the western part of the Black Sea, where TRML-4D, AN/MPQ-64F1 and 30N6 radar systems, located on universal 40V6M towers, operate in a "roaming" mode on elevations.
Even if the antenna post of the 30N6 radar is placed at a height of 75 m above sea level, the direct radio visibility range of the "Kalibr" operating at a height of 15 m does not exceed 50 km.
Earlier it became known that Russia created the newest cruise missile called "Product 720". It embodies the best domestic design ideas.
