Robots are working in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the resort city of Sochi

You will be able to meet Pudu robot cleaners this summer in ten stores of the chain in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Sochi. X5 Retail Group, which owns the Perekrestok chain of stores, has announced that it will use robots until August, and then decide whether to leave them this job.

Pudu comes from China, and it can clean a room of up to 1000 sq. m in an hour - this is 10 times more than an ordinary person can clean in this time. It will perform both dry and wet cleaning of the entire hall, as well as spot cleaning where there is a single contamination. Pudu is also trained in politeness: if necessary, the robot cleaner will greet visitors and ask them to give way.

Earlier, in early 2024, the Perekrestok chain launched robot cat assistants in some pilot stores. They delivered goods around the hall, wished a good day, and were very popular with visitors, but did not withstand pilot tests economically.
