Roskomnadzor is discussing with major domestic telecom operators new ways for mobile operators to combat telephone fraud. In particular, we are talking about the option of blocking all spam calls from abroad by default.
At the same time, subscribers will be given the option to choose in their personal account settings: accept or reject foreign calls.
It will be possible to do this for all foreign calls or only for subscribers from the contact list, for example, to accept calls only from relatives and friends.
Experts in the field of communications and information security agree on the need to increase the responsibility of telecom operators for failing to take measures in this area.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Federation Council approved amendments to Russian legislation that tighten penalties for spam calls. Fines of up to one million rubles are introduced for legal entities.
