It became known which motorcycles are preferred in Russia

The Avtostat agency has published information on the total number of registered motorcycles in the Russian Federation. In total, 2,155,000 vehicles were counted in the country.

At the same time, it became known that 87% of all motorcycles are over 15 years old. A third of them are foreign cars, among which Japanese, Chinese and European models are leading. Almost two-thirds (70.6%) of all motorcycles have an engine of at least 600 cc.

Among the domestic brands preferred by motorcycle enthusiasts, IZH is the absolute leader - there are more than 600 thousand of them. The second place in the quantitative ranking goes to motorcycles of the Ural brand - 277,200 pieces. The top three domestic motorcycle leaders among Russians are closed by ZiD (Voskhod) with 191,900 vehicles.

Most motorcycles are registered in the Krasnodar Territory - 110.6 thousand units. The second and third places are shared by Moscow and the Saratov Region, with 94.9 units each. The top leaders are closed by the Tula Region - 80.7 thousand motorcycles travel there.

Domestic motorcycle production continues to develop. By the end of 2024 - beginning of 2025, the Aurus Merlon electric motorcycle will appear on the markets. Earlier, already in May of this year, domestic motorcycles are planning to be used in the presidential motorcade. They will replace the German BMW R1150RT and BMW R1200RT.
