Russian Angara A-5 launch: specialists ready for rocket module fall

The heavy rocket is scheduled to leave Earth in the first ten days of the month, before April 10

Final preparations are underway at and near Vostochny for the launch of the first Angara-A5 heavy rocket for this cosmodrome. The rocket is located at the launch site, and the launch is scheduled for the first ten days of the month, before April 10. Roscosmos has not yet announced its exact date and time.

The Vostochny Space Center has already deployed a radar tracking system on the coast of the Tatar Strait. It will track the fall of the Angara-A5 universal rocket modules to determine the coordinates of their landing sites. This is one of the stages of monitoring how the space mission is progressing.

The Khabarovsk Territory, which is adjacent to the cosmodrome, has also prepared for the rocket launch. Parts of the carrier rocket that separate during launch may fall on its territory in the Ulchsky and Vaninsky districts. Therefore, in these areas, the authorities of the Khabarovsk Territory introduced a state of high alert.
