Aquarius and Open Mobile Platform, the developers of the Russian Aurora OS, have announced that the corporate version of Aurora is being installed on the new Aquarius Cmp NS220RE tablets. The porting of the version has been completed, and devices based on the Aquarius platform have already been entered into the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

This means that the new Cmp NS220RE can be used in government institutions and participate in the import substitution process. State corporations and companies with state participation must completely switch to Russian operating systems (OS), office suites, antivirus programs and virtualization systems from January 1, 2025.

Aquarius Cmp NS220RE is a thin, compact 9 mm thick tablet for mobile office workers. It is suitable for autonomous operation for up to 10 hours. The tablet has:

  • 4 GB of RAM;
  •  64 GB drive with the ability to install a MicroSD card for 1 TB;
  • Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 5 for wireless data transmission;
  • cellular module with 4G (LTE) support;
  •  main camera with a 13 MP sensor and flash, front camera - with a 5 MP sensor.

It is noted that the device, thanks to the Aurora OS, "supports all the necessary corporate applications, and also allows you to choose the necessary applications from the current catalog, which is constantly expanding".
