Proton-PM, a subsidiary of NPO Energomash of the Roscosmos State Corporation, is reaching new production volumes. In 2023, the company produced 25% more rocket engines than in 2022, and orders for products are only growing.
According to the company's management, in 2024, production rates will increase by another 50%. At the same time, 98% of the order volume is already secured by contracts.
We have restructured our debt, received a government subsidy to repay the loan. We have gained the necessary pace of work to ensure contractual obligations. We are successfully solving large-scale tasks of technical re-equipment. Today we are focused on staffing issues - the need for operators of advanced machines, turners, milling machine operators, and fitters for this year is more than 300 people.
To cope with orders, Proton-PM is modernizing the foundry and machining shops. They are also completing the new building 82 at the site in Novye Lyady, and it is already 92% ready.
The new building will house a complex of electrochemical coating lines, machining and assembly shops. The final assembly of rocket engines will also take place there. They hope to assemble the first rocket engines in building 82 before the end of 2024.
Proton-PM produces RD-276 liquid rocket engines and new generation RD-191 oxygen-kerosene engines for the Angara family of launch vehicles. However, the company's work is not limited to rockets.
For the aviation industry, Proton-PM produces components for the PS-90A aircraft engine and its modifications, components for helicopter gearboxes, and also conducts testing of aviation products. It also participates in the production of cast blanks for the promising PD-14, which will be installed on MS-21 aircraft.
And for the fuel and energy complex, Proton-PM produces gas turbine power plants, pump parts and components for gas turbine units. Also, its specialists conduct tests of gas turbine units.
