The Kostroma company "Deep Lakes" has developed a new unmanned dual-use water drone. The novelty was presented to the head of the Maritime Board, Nikolai Patrushev, at the local Sudomekhanichesky plant.
The body of the device was built using 3D printing technologies, which makes it strong and airtight. The drone's autonomy depends on the battery, but is at least 300 km.
The drone is also capable of lifting about a ton of cargo from the bottom. The main feature of the drone is its silence thanks to electric motors.
Earlier, specialists from the Black Sea Higher Naval School named after P. S. Nakhimov patented an autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle for the Russian Navy.
It was proposed to make the unmanned complex in the form of a torpedo and to build it according to a modular scheme.
