Now it will be sent to the assembly and test building of the launch vehicle for assembly with the "package"

The assembly of the space head unit for the heavy Angara-A5 rocket has been completed at the space vehicle assembly and testing complex at Vostochny.

Roscosmos specialists performed the assembly tilting, brought the fairing flaps, and then rolled them onto the Orion booster and the payload. After assembly, the structure was subjected to pneumatic and electrical tests, and no comments were found.

After that, the space head unit was detached from the assembly stand and transferred to a transport trolley. Now it will be sent to the assembly and test building of the launch vehicle for further assembly with the third stage of the rocket and the assembled "package".

The rocket launch, which was planned for the end of 2023, and was slightly postponed for a number of reasons, will take place in the first ten days of April. The date has not yet been announced.

A separate meeting was dedicated to the rocket launch at Vostochny. It considered the issues of preparing the Angara-A5 for launch and the readiness of the Angara launch complex to receive the rocket, as well as ensuring launch safety.

According to Valinur Agishev, Director of the TsENKI branch — Vostochny Space Center, the launch of Angara from the cosmodrome is "a significant event that must be approached with full responsibility".

All work must be performed in strict accordance with the schedule and with high quality.
