Last year, manufacturers in the capital supplied industrial products worth 10.6 trillion rubles, surpassing all CIS countries in this indicator. For example, Belarus sold goods worth 4.8 trillion rubles in 2023, while Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan each sold 4 trillion rubles.
Moscow also surpassed Austria, Sweden, Belgium, and Finland in the number of employees working in industrial enterprises, with 725,000 people.
Growth in Electrical Equipment Production
Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy, stated that by the end of 2023, the capital had more than doubled its production of electrical equipment. According to him, there are over 130 enterprises in the city employing approximately 17,000 people.
Over the year, they increased production volume by 106.8% compared to 2022
The capital produced:
- 100,000 signs and illuminated displays
- 800,000 chandeliers and lighting devices
Moscow also produces electric motors, transformers, rechargeable batteries, cables, and other goods.
