Russia's largest power engineering company, "Power Machines," has released the first domestic serial gas turbine of high power GTE-170, complete with a generator and waste heat boiler. Previously, such units were imported into Russia, mainly from Siemens.
The 170 MW equipment fully complies with the requirements of the Russian Federation Government Decree No. 719 "On confirming the production of industrial products on the territory of the Russian Federation."
The number of new GTE-170s will increase annually. According to the production schedule, the first turbine was released this year. In 2024, the company will transfer the next two gas turbines to customers, in 2025 - six turbines, in 2026 - eight turbines.
Such rapid development of import-independent production became possible with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The total investment of "Power Machines" in the project is 25 billion rubles, of which 6.8 billion rubles for R&D became a subsidy from the state.
