Car manufacturers from September 16 to 30, 2023 did not change the prices of their models that are officially sold in the Russian market. Such data is provided by the experts of "Car Price".
Before this, a mass increase was recorded in August, when prices were rewritten for 15 brands at once. Such a price jump occurred for the first time since May 2022.
In August, the price increase was associated with the introduction of a new recycling fee, as well as with the weakening of the national currency. Similar factors affected the pricing policy of car manufacturers from September 1 to 15. In the first half of the month, 9 brands decided to raise the prices of their models.
In Russia, according to the government decree from August 1, the recycling fee has been increased for passenger cars, buses, trucks, which are imported into the country for the purpose of subsequent resale. The fee applies to companies and individuals who import more than 1 vehicle into the country per year.
