In August, the price increase was associated with the introduction of a new recycling fee, as well as the weakening of the national currency. Similar factors influenced the pricing policy of automakers in the period from September 1 to September 15. In the first half of the month, 9 brands decided to raise prices for their models.
In Russia, according to a government decree, from August 1, the recycling fee for cars, buses, and trucks that enter the country for subsequent resale has been increased. The fee applies to companies and individuals who import more than 1 vehicle per year into the country.
