Today in the USA at 03:27 Eastern time (10:27 Moscow time), a Falcon 9 rocket with the Crew Dragon manned spacecraft launched from the Kennedy Space Center (Florida). As part of the Crew-7 mission, the Crew Dragon spacecraft will deliver three astronauts (Jasmine Moghbeli, Andreas Mogensen and Satoshi Furukawa) and one cosmonaut – Konstantin Borisov – to the ISS.
The docking of Crew Dragon with the ISS is scheduled for August 27, it will take place at 15:50 Moscow time. Initially, the launch of the Crew-7 mission was planned for August 15, but it was postponed several times.
Konstantin Borisov became the third Russian cosmonaut to go to the ISS on the Crew Dragon spacecraft as part of the NASA and Roscosmos cross-flight program. The first was Anna Kikina (she went to the ISS in October 2022 as part of the Crew-5 mission), and the second was Andrei Fedyaev, he joined the March Crew-6 mission.
Cosmonauts Sergei Prokopyev, Dmitry Petelin and Andrei Fedyaev are currently on duty on the Russian part of the ISS.
