The Soviet supersonic combat aircraft MiG-25, developed in the USSR in the 60s, still remains the fastest. American F-22 and F-35 fighters are inferior to it. This is according to the Jetify portal.

The maximum speed of the MiG-25 is Mach 3.2. For comparison, the F-15 can reach a speed of Mach 2.5, the F-22 - Mach 2.0, and the F-35 - only Mach 1.6. The 60s aircraft turned out to be twice as fast as the modern F-35.
