Russian military personnel have begun "testing" a modernized KamAZ-6350 high-mobility truck with a K-5350 armored cabin. The vehicle received an electronic warfare (EW) system from the "Sania" line.
The K-5350 cabin with 2nd class mine protection meets the OTT 9.1.12.1-2010 standard.
Ballistic protection against bullets and fragments corresponds to the 2nd class, protecting the crew from direct shots from a PSM pistol with 7N7 cartridges of 5.45 mm caliber with a steel core, as well as shots from a TT pistol with 57-N-134S cartridges of 12 caliber from a distance of 5 m.
Technical characteristics of KamAZ-6350:
- Wheelbase - 8x8
- Gross weight - 22,600 kg
- Towed trailer weight - 15,000 kg
- Load capacity level - 10,500 kg
- Maximum speed - 95 km/h
- Engine - KamAZ-740.50-360 (Euro-2) with 360 hp
- Fuel tank capacity - 375 l
- Gearbox - mechanical ZF, 16-speed
The new "Sania" EW complex features a closed configuration for the placement of frequency analysis modules, as well as an SHF generator and a modulating device. Antennas with omnidirectional radiation patterns are located on a multi-point mounting unit extended beyond the rear armor plate of the cabin.
"Sania" consists of two devices: a detector and a jammer. The first scans the space for the presence of single FPV drones or an entire swarm at a distance of up to 1.5 km. Suppression occurs at a distance of up to 1 km.
The complex can operate around the clock. The jammer is activated only when FPV drones are detected and automatically turns off when the detector stops detecting drone signals.
Characteristics of the "Sania" EW complex:
- Weight - 15-20 kg
- Power source - 100V ~ 240V
- Detection methodology - passive detection of radio frequency signals
- Protection angle - full 360 degrees
