The fully import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft is planned to be certified in late 2026 – first quarter of 2027. The deadline was confirmed by Harun Karchaev, Minister of Industry and Trade of Khabarovsk Krai, in a comment to TASS at the Eastern Economic Forum.

The flight program will be completed this year, after which the manufacturer will compile and submit a full set of evidentiary documentation to Rosaviatsia. Based on this, approvals for major changes to the type design will be entered into the type certificate data sheet, and the type certificate will be reissued.

The SJ-100 is a Russian short-haul narrow-body aircraft, a new version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 with maximum import substitution of components, built in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

In April 2025, the fully import-substituted SJ-100 with PD-8 engines made its first flight. Certification will pave the way for serial deliveries of the aircraft to Russian airlines, which are currently dependent on foreign regional aircraft. It was previously reported that the first production SJ-100s should be delivered to customers after the completion of certification procedures.
